2019

2019 was a good year. We moved from the farm to a city house in Lucerne and kept growing the enterprise WiFi business. After years of full focus, it was time to enjoy. Parties, good moments, growing kids. WiFi doesn’t run away. I kept building future routers in the background. That spring, I took Mona to the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig - a place I loved in my younger years. Someone broke into our car, so we became experts in DIY window repair. It held up just fine at 310 km/h - good old German Autobahn. I also finished something deeply personal: my tattoo project. Half my body, done. A reminder of time, pain, and what it takes to finish things. The work was done by Seven Seas Atelier, where I started years earlier with Jeroen. I still remember his words before the first stroke: “Now we make a man out of you.”
